FAVT Ausstellung -Kigali, Ruanda

The touring exhibition FAVT: Future Africa Visions in Time made its last stop in Kigali Rwanda. This edition was made possible through a partnership between Iwalewahaus, University of Bayreuth, the Goethe Institute Kigali and the host of the exhibition; Kandt House Museum representing the Institute of National Museums of Rwanda.  The exhibition opened on the 15th of November 2019 at Kandt House Museum. It featured new works by Rwandan artists Crista Uwase, Chris Schwagga and Cedric Mizero, along with artworks from former FAVT editions such as My Mother’s Mother (Syowia Kyambi), Rose’s Relocation (Syowia Kyambi), Traveling to Turiya (Ingrid Lafleur), A Young Black Man Reclining in a Palace Garden (Moses Serubiri), The Bike Gang (Sam Hopkins), Faint Testimonies (Rui Assubuji & Achim Von Oppen), The Virgin Mary( Lilian Magodi) and the Strategic Radicals.
