Hi! I am Paola Solis, I am from Ecuador, a beautiful country located in Southamerica. I am 23 years old and I am a journalist, but I’m also interested in cultural management and art.

I came to Germany in August 2014 as a volunteer for one year with the “Zugvögel, interkultureller Süd-Nord-Austausch e.V.” organization (http://www.zugvoegel.org/de/start). Now I live in Bayreuth and I will do my voluntary service with Freundeskreis Iwalewahaus – working in „a space for the production and presentation of contemporary art from Africa and beyond.“ (http://www.iwalewa.uni-bayreuth.de/en/index.html).

I look forward to the voluntary service as an oportunity to learn and interchange experiences, ideas and different points of view to build something great together. Also, I believe that social communication and art could be understood as a way to join people and be more human and more sensitive.
